Mods keep downloading to my data folder






















 · In the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\Content" I found the mod folder, changed the name to "@RHS_whatever" and changed it to the ARMA 3 root folder. Then loaded them as local mods. They wont get updated this way but atleast I wont have to download gb worth of mods on a gb restriction per month internet:). Because of Steamworks, downloaded mods are kept in the Steam userdata folders, whereas your own personal ones are still in the old mods folder in documents. The path for the steamwork mods is. Doing a unsub/resub triggers a re-download of everything missing for that particular game. But don't restart your PC or Steam; you'll lose everything you just downloaded. No solution but to wait for a fix or copy your Workshop files off and use them "locally" (some games have a stand-alone mod directory). 5. level 2. You can write [username] instead of your actual username, but leave the rest of the file path intact.
